Inventory Accountant

We are seeking an Accountant with Inventory and preferably Public Accounting experience. Qualified candidate should be adept at accomplishing inventory processes in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner and have razor-sharp analytical skills.

Job Purpose:

Manage the inventory process, ensure accuracy of inventory, and support closing of inventory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Compile, reconcile and manage the overall inventory records
• Manage inventory & sales process
• Update inventory data tables
• Address discrepancies between expected results and final settlements
• Work with Operations and IT on resolving inventory concerns
• Generate and/or review Invoicing paperwork, issue to customers
• Liaison with Customers and Financial Accounting to ensure proper billing and resolution
• Reconcile cycle count physical inventory results with perpetual records
• Maintain and review the general ledger and reconcile accounts
• Support various financial and other external audits
• Prepare ad-hoc, monthly and quarterly reports for submission to management
• Verification of cash payments to suppliers
• Serve as backup to other staff functions as needed
• Must be able to work OT when required

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or similar experience in Accounting
• 3-6 years experience in accounting, inventory management, cost accounting
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience maintaining and developing inventory cycle internal controls
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Navision a plus but not required

High degree of Microsoft EXCEL mastery required (VLookup, Pivot Tables)
